I have to give it to Mindful Body once again. I've resumed my regular yoga practice at this studio, and just love love love it. Really, feels like home. Each time I walk into the studio doors, it feels like the most zen, calm, inviting space in San Francisco. Welcoming to all levels, they make everyone feel at home. The best thing is that they're not all about money and sales and packing people into classes like herds of cattle (I won't even mention ... ahem ... another studio). Teachers are always concious, helpful mindful. The way yoga should be.

Nothing precious, which is how I like it. Clean, simple rooms, a stable of good massage therapists, straightforward treatment. Aaah.

I'm moving to Chicago at the end of the summer and, in addition to my sadness to leave San Francisco, leaving The Mindful Body will be one of the hardest things for me. The community classes have provided me with strength, peace and empowerment over the years. And although I hope to visit often, I will miss The Mindful Body greatly! I can only hope to find something half as good in the windy city. Many, many thanks for all your teachings!

I am a credentialed teacher here in the San Francisco public schools and I appreciate the quality of teaching of the instructors here. I've been to other places for yoga and it's obvious the instructors know how to do yoga but not how to teacher others.

Best Massage in S.F. - I have had many massages in San Francisco and this is the only time I have actually had a great massage. The massage therapist I saw had over 15 years experience and knew what was going on with my back as soon as I was on the table. He said the tension in my lower back was not because of my back but because of my leg muscles. Guess what? He was right. First person to solve that riddle after 2 years of seeing chiropractors, doctors and acupuncturists. He gave me a therapeutic but relaxing massage and very practical advice on how to stretch. Well worth the $68 dollars for 60 minutes.
